Developed between 2018 and 2020, Poetics in Trance emerged from the desire to transform words into images, images into experiences, and experience into collective action. The project brought together literature, visual arts and audiovisual practices in an investigation of contemporary tensions and the multiple ways of existing within a hyperconnected society.

The urgency created by the accelerating pace of the world, the fragmentation of human relationships and the erosion of everyday experience gave rise to sixteen poems, each becoming the starting point for a dialogue with other artists. Through this collaborative process, the poems evolved into sixteen audiovisual works, expanding the expressive possibilities of language through image, sound and performance.

Themes such as climate change, social media, corruption, diversity, identity, solitude and belonging run throughout the project not as answers, but as provocations. Each work invites the viewer to reflect on the transformations of contemporary society and on the role of art within a world in constant change.

More than a collection of poems or a series of audiovisual works, Poetics in Trance stands as a collective artistic manifesto in which different creative languages converge to build a shared reflection on the present. Although conceived between 2018 and 2020, the project remains the record of a particular historical moment whose questions continue to resonate in contemporary life.
